Sucreabeille Afterglow Perfume Review 2026: I Tested This Dark Chocolate & Amber Scent

I review a lot of niche and indie perfumes, and most indie brands either lean too far into "art project" territory (beautiful concept, unwearable scent) or play it too safe. Sucreabeille is one of the few indie houses that nails both — genuinely wearable scents with a lot of personality behind the branding. I ordered a full 1oz bottle of their Afterglow eau de parfum and wore it as my go-to scent for about two weeks.

What Is Sucreabeille Afterglow?

Afterglow is one of Sucreabeille's best-known scents: a gourmand blend built around dark chocolate, sweet honey, and amber. It's marketed as a sexy, confident everyday scent rather than a "special occasion only" fragrance. A full 1oz eau de parfum bottle runs $66 direct from Sucreabeille, with smaller formats — a 10ml rollerball ($34), a dram ($24), and a 1ml sample vial ($12.50) — for anyone who wants to try it first.

How It Actually Smells and Wears

On first spray, Afterglow opens noticeably sweet — the honey and dark chocolate are upfront and unmistakable, almost like a gourmet dessert. Within about 20-30 minutes it settles into a warmer, more skin-like amber base that's far less "candy" and more genuinely sexy, which matches how Sucreabeille describes it. On my skin, I got a solid 6-8 hours of wear from two sprays, with the chocolate-honey opening fading into a soft amber that lingered on clothing well into the next day.

It's a rich scent, so a little goes a long way — two sprays was plenty for an all-day wear, and I'd only recommend layering more if you specifically want it to be a "notice me" scent.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Genuinely long-lasting — 6-8 hours of wear from just two sprays on skin
  • Unique gourmand-meets-amber profile that doesn't smell generic
  • Available in five formats, from a $12.50 sample vial up to a $66 full bottle, so you can try before committing
  • 10% off sitewide with code SMALLBEAUTYREVIEW

Cons

  • Sweet gourmand opening won't suit everyone — if you dislike chocolate/honey scents, skip this one
  • Strong projection means less is more; over-applying can be overwhelming
  • Full 1oz bottle is a real investment if you have not tried the scent family before — start with the sample vial

Should You Buy Sucreabeille Afterglow?

If you like gourmand fragrances with real staying power and want to support an indie perfume house instead of a mass-market brand, Afterglow is worth trying. My advice: start with the $12.50 sample vial, or build your own set of 5 sample vials for $50 to test a few scents at once before committing to a full bottle.
